The social centre at Nimbin Aged Care & Respite Services (NACRS) and all our services are available to:

• Indigenous people aged 50+ years
• Any people with a disability
• All carers (carer age unlimited)
• Any one aged 50+ experiencing housing stress or homelessness
• Non-Indigenous people 65+ years

The social centre is a friendly, relaxed and welcoming place to drop in for a cuppa, to catch up with friends or get some help with something.

Darren, Jeddah and Sharon, our Aboriginal Community Workers, offer support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders aged 50+, their carers and families, Indigenous people with disabilities and their carers and families living in our area.  They are usually available:  Monday-Friday  

You may need help with: appointments, accessing other services, arranging Community Transport, letter writing, budgeting, or other issues.  Free computer, internet and telephone use is also available.

Social activities include groups and events at Nimbin venues, home visits, cultural activities (eg. Mens’ Camps and Womens’ Camps), shopping and transport support, Nimbin NAIDOC, film nights.

We are based at Bottlebrush Studio, in the heart of the village of Nimbin, an easy to find building with its bright and colourful rainbow exterior. The building is part of the Nimbin Community Centre, now owned collectively by the Nimbin community[/box]
